You’re defining a web app as just the user-facing medium in a browser, disregarding the fact that the majority of the “web app” is based on API communication to application servers which is nearly always a constant.

Just because you’re using Netflix on your smart tv doesn’t mean you’re not using a web application. Alexa is a web application as well.
