Members of the PC building and hardware communities are not strangers to stark price increases and supply shortages of computer parts. The most frustrating and notable case of this in the past few years has been GPU shortages due to demand from crypto miners; Nvidia even going as far to throttle their own GPU’s ability to mine Ethereum.
